All those Google fans out there wont be missing out Google Books which is very informative and may be much more for all those book worms around the globe. Google Books is keeping up a database of almost every books published and also also presents before the users limited/full/NO preview of the same. But not all users of Google would not be delighted to buy the whole book for their “some page needs”. Moreover the preview pages for limited preview books varies with time ; for example the page of a book which you can view today may not available for tomorrows perusal. The whole site i written in AJAX( i think) ,the change in the view of pages of books may be probably because of this coding. I will showing you one simple technique by which you can download pages from Google Books and save it as *.pdf documents.

  • Download and install the latest version of Greasemonkey plugin for your Firefox browser from HERE.
  • Restart the browser, activate Greasemonkey plugin and goto this LINK and install Google Book Downloader script for Greasemonkey.
  • Now goto Google Books and search for the book you need & select to its navigational view. You will download buttons along each page and also to the left of the whole window as shown :

  • Click on the download button to save the page to your PC. Since by default all the pages would be saved as “books” .jpg /.png care should be taken not to overwrite files while saving.
  • Download and install Image Converter to PDF and convert the png/jpg file to pdf format.
